Rod McCormack’s album Fingerprints features Rod’s immediately likeable vocals and his masterful guitar and banjo skills.
He is joined on the album by fellow celebrated acoustic artists Dave Pomeroy (bass), Andy Leftwich (mandolin, fiddle and tenor guitar), Aubrey Haynie (fiddle and mandolin), Rob Ickes (dobro) and Justin Moses (dobro), to create a beautiful acoustic tapestry, which also showcases Rod’s sharp production skills.
Long recognised as one of Australia’s leading musicians and songwriters, Rod is one of the most in-demand record producers, responsible for many high selling and award winning albums. He was named CMAA Producer of the year in 2004, 2008 and again in 2010.
Rod has his own recording studio, The Music Cellar, on the NSW Central Coast, which has hosted the cream of Australia’s musical talent, bringing to life numerous Gold and Platinum albums.
As a songwriter, Rod has written more than 30 number one country hits, along with theme songs and background music for a number of successful TV shows and documentary series, and has won numerous awards. He has more than 400 titles currently recorded and released by artists here and overseas, including Wendy Matthews, The McClymonts, Lee Kernaghan, Gina Jeffreys, Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole and Paul Kelly.
