Saddle up for Kathy Coleman’s catchy new single release Go Marry a Cowboy. Inspired by a set of coffee cups donated by a country music radio presenter, won in a raffle at a Cancer Council fundraiser, Kathy received this unexpected gift of inspiration, while volunteering her musical services for a great cause.
Kathy has recorded three original independent country albums, released in 2009, 2011 and 2014, and has been writing her own songs since 2006. She has won numerous songwriting and music awards along with multiple finalist placings in songwriting competitions since 2008.
Her most awarded song Dunedoo Station won the Australian Category at the 2012 ASA National Songwriting Awards, and second placing in the Ballad Category the same year with He Still Remembers. Dunedoo Station won best Australiana Song at the 2011 Canberra Country Music Songwriting Awards and gained Kathy a finalist placing at the Southern Stars Awards in Mildura in 2013. They Call ’em Coopers, a track released from her third album, won three Songwriting Awards at the 2012 Canberra Country Music Festival and climbed to number 11 on the Country Tracks Top 40 Chart.
Kathy’s songs are true stories about life, love, Australia and special people that she has met along the way. Her songs touch the heart, are very addictive and easy listening.
