Brewn—
Canberra country rock band, Brewn, releases the new single, Time Stood Still, which began with one ordinary night that turned out to be anything but. Written by lead singer, Michael Bond, the song captures the evening he met the love of his life while playing covers with mates at Walshes Tavern in Queanbeyan. It felt like a regular pub gig at the time, yet in hindsight it became the moment that shaped the rest of his life. As Michael puts it, “Life has a way of planning things for you without you having any clue of what’s ahead.”
Once he penned the lyrics, Michael brought the song to band mates John Barbara, Anthony Barbara, James Cox, and Bob Harvey.
Influenced by the bands they cover, from John Mellencamp and Cold Chisel to The Police and The Angels, the band expanded the song with Michael’s signature country rock energy and classic pub-band authenticity.
Recorded in Michael’s home studio and produced alongside legendary US producer Paul Lani, Time Stood Still is a warm, nostalgic anthem about the single frame in time that never fades, the instant everything changes and stays stamped in memory forever.
