Andrew Swift—
Andrew Swift has released his latest single Get Lost, a love letter to detours, dirt roads and the magic of getting off-grid.
“It’s no secret that I love being on the road,” Andrew says. “I especially love going places that I’ve never seen before, and I feel like everyone should get out past the lights of the city or their hometown and get a little lost.”
With his boots firmly planted in country and his sound stretching into pop and rock territory, Get Lost is Andrew doing what he does best, blending big hooks with honest heart. Penned by Blake Dantier and produced by Matt Fell, the track hits that sweet spot between nostalgia and now.
“Get Lost was a whole lot of fun to bring to life in the studio,” Andrew says. “There are so many parts in this song that I love. Jeff King’s guitar work makes me smile every time I hear it; I think Matt Fell had a bit too much fun with layering bass parts in the bridge, and I’m all for it. And just when I thought the song was done, Matt suggested we add some fiddle, and Luke Moller came to the party wearing his finest!”
The single follows on from the success of Andrew’s previous track Nothing Better.
Andrew says he can’t help but think of touring when he listens to the song. Having travelled from the Flinders Ranges to Winton and Normanton the song “makes me picture some of the remote places I’ve travelled whilst on tour.”
